Partner with Find My Observership to host International and Foreign Medical Graduates for structured 4-week observerships in your practice. We handle the vetting, paperwork, and coordination. You share your expertise.
Our physician partners tell us the experience is more rewarding, and far less work, than they expected.
Many observers are accomplished physicians in their home countries working toward a US career. Your guidance during four weeks can genuinely change the trajectory of their lives.
Every observer is screened before they reach you. We verify medical education, review documentation, and set clear professional expectations in writing before day one.
We handle applications, scheduling, agreements, and observer communication. You receive a prepared, professional observer and nothing else lands on your desk.
You decide how many observers you host, when, and for how long. Host one observer a year or one a month. There is no minimum commitment.
Observers do not touch patients, document in your EMR, or practice medicine. They shadow, watch, and learn. Your workflow and your liability profile stay exactly as they are.
Hosting connects you with talented physicians from around the world, many of whom go on to US residencies and stay in touch for years as colleagues.
Email us with your specialty, practice location, and how often you'd be open to hosting. A short call follows so we can answer your questions.
When a screened candidate fits your specialty and availability, we send you their profile. You approve or pass. Nothing moves forward without your yes.
We finalize the program agreement, confirm dates, and prepare the observer with clear conduct expectations before their first day.
The observer shadows you for the program period. They observe only. If anything comes up, we're one call away.
You provide an honest evaluation. If the observer earned it, you may choose to write a letter of recommendation. Then decide if and when you'd like to host again.
Observers are observation-only. They do not examine patients, document in your records, or perform any clinical tasks. Program agreements put this in writing, and we set these expectations with every observer before they arrive. As with any practice decision, we encourage you to confirm details with your own counsel or malpractice carrier.
Observers sign confidentiality agreements before starting, and we brief every observer on professional conduct and patient privacy expectations. You retain full control, including asking the observer to step out of any visit at a patient's request.
No. Letters are entirely at your discretion, based on the observer's performance and professionalism. We make this explicit to every observer: letters are earned, never guaranteed.
Very little beyond your normal day. The observer follows your existing schedule. There's no teaching curriculum, no grading, and no paperwork on your side. Most partners say the main investment is simply answering questions between patients.
We're actively expanding beyond Family Medicine in New York and New Jersey. Internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, and other specialties are welcome, and we're open to partners in additional states as we grow.
Partnership terms, including any compensation arrangements, are discussed individually during onboarding. Reach out and we'll walk you through how the partnership works.
One email starts the conversation. Tell us your specialty, location, and availability, and we'll take it from there.
